Founded in November 1997 by David Batty, we had been meeting every 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of every month. Until the Covid lockdowns came along, once we could get back into our Venue we had to change our nights to the 3rd Tuesday on every month. Our club nights are a mixture of our own local talent getting the chance to perform on the stage and hiring in a guest artist to entertain us for the evening these have ranged from Scottish dance bands, sing a longs, a mixture of classical and folk music to artists taking requests from the audience, we like to have a variety of music genres and styles. In the past 19 years we have lived at a number of different venues around leyland, for the last 10+ years we have continually met at The Priory Club, Broadfield Walk, Leyland, PR25 1PD. The room we hire at The Priory Club has a stage which we use for our concerts nights, for our practice nights the room is large enough for people to spread themselves out around the room to practice alone or to have a jam session with others.
We have been on a number of TV programmes in our almost 20 years, the most recent one was ” Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” Here is a clip from our Appearance on the show.
We have also appeared on a BBC programme called “Webwise” presented by Kate Humble and our local BBC news programme “North West Tonight” has filmed the club.
